Second ABR

On Wednesday Avery went in for her second ABR (brain wave hearing test). The audiologist wanted to retest because on her first ABR the "timing" score was not normal for her age. The results in her right ear were the same but her left ear actually scored better than the first time. So both ears can register the same sound. The only result will be to adjust her hearing aides. As far as the "timing" issue she still is not "normal." I do not understand it but, it is something about the wave the brain makes when it hears sound always follows the same pattern. When they change the sound Avery reverses the wave or something like that. The audiologist does not know what that means, she has never seen it before. So she is going to have to research it, it may not mean anything.
