We had Avery's IEP last week. She has made a lot of good progress (almost a year's worth in 10 months since her last testing). She underwent numerous tests to determine if there were other issues besides her hearing impairment. Besides the fact that she has a small attention span, has bad balances, and is delayed by almost two years, there was no obvious disabilities/diagnosis.
We also decided to move Avery's placement back to our neighborhood school and retain her for another year of Kindergarten. With her birthday being so late in the summer and her only having her implant for less than a year. We think she will have a greater chance for success in attending Kindergarten another year. Wish us luck :)
