Cochlear Update

So here is the scoop. I talked to a member of the cochlear team tonight. The Medical Director for the insurance company is likely a doctor with no experience working with patients with hearing loss. In most cases the doctors are OBGYNs or neurologists. The team feels as though this Medical Director does not understand Avery's needs, the team also thinks they simply need to make the director understand. We are going to perform a few new tests and the team will attempt to clarify Avery's needs in a more direct manner. Needless to say the surgery will not take place Friday, but we pray that it will take place in the near future. This will be the fifth appeal to an insurance company in the last two months.
