Halloween 2009

Our festivities began on Thursday night with the annual Spooktacular Dance Recital. This year Kinley danced to Taylor Swift's Love Story and got to dress like a princess. What could be better?
This is the final pose. Isn't she precious?

Next came Pumpkin Carving Night on Friday. We lost our first batch of pumpkins to renegade teenagers the weekend before. So Jimmy brought new EXTRA LARGE pumpkins. Kinley decided to paint her pumpkin.

Jimmy helped Avery carve her pumpkin. Avery thought that everything that comes from a vegetable should be eaten. She kept eating the raw insides and seeds.

The finished pumpkins. WOW! You can't tell who the art teacher in the family is can you?

After the paint dried. Jimmy took his thirty pound pumpkins and sprayed them with vegetable spray in an effort to ward off any thieves. (The only one remaining on Sunday morning was Avery's.)

Finally, on Halloween night Kinley dressed up as a mermaid and Avery a frog. We traveled to the close relatives houses in the valley and collected wopping amounts of candy.
